Trent University Equestrian

Founded in 2004, the Trent Equestrian Team competes in the Ontario Collegiate Equestrian Association's (OCEA) North Zone. The team is determined through tryouts held at the beginning of the academic year. Equestrians of different skill levels can compete from 1’9 to 2’9. The team is designed to keep equestrians riding throughout university, giving them the opportunity to do so at a low cost. Fleming College students are also eligible to be a part of the TET. Lessons run out of Kildare Stables North and are coached by Kevin Sweeney and Juliana Newport.

The recreational club runs alongside the team, and is open to students with little to no riding experience. The club has access to many of the same benefits as the team, such as the opportunity to order Trent Equestrian merch, participate in weekly lessons, and attend social events. Club members do not compete at OCEA shows, however, they are welcome to spectate or help out.
